Welcome to the Peer Support Basics module!
In peer support, individuals with shared common experiences, such as caring for someone with a neurodevelopmental disability (NDD), engage and help each other. This type of support can come in various forms, including the sharing of one’s experience, knowledge, and expertise related to topics such as navigating support services or funding. It can also provide an opportunity to share emotions and feelings with another person who can relate. This module aims to provide an understanding of the principles and techniques of effective peer-to-peer support so that mentoring can be effective and inclusive.
