Cerebral Palsy Basics

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

1. Explain what cerebral palsy is and how it does and does not affect individuals and their families. 
   
   
2. Identify that cerebral palsy is a diagnosis but does not define who a person is.  
   
   
3. Recognize that people with cerebral palsy have the right to participate in life activities and to the services and supports that enable them to do so. 
   
   
4. Identify the importance of service navigation so families can access the services and supports they need to live fulfilling lives.
