It is important to recognize that bias can negatively impact our relationships, communication and decision-making, creating barriers for equity deserving groups, and can also perpetuate systems of oppression and discrimination.

People experience the world and process information in their own unique ways. Neurodiversity is the natural way of human information processing – there is no single correct way of thinking, learning, or acting, and these differences should not be seen as a problem. It is important to know that neurodiversity is commonly intersectional in nature and is not limited to individuals of a specific sex, gender, age, ethnicity or religious or cultural background.
